Notes: This Pediatric Advanced Life Support Initial Provider course is geared toward the 1st time student, or student with an expired card. 4-hour preparation prior to the 1-day class format.
Location: Valley View Hospital: Classrooms ABCD Next to cafeteria on the 2nd floor.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) 1 Day Full Provider

This American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Provider course is an instructor lead, classroom format for those in need of PALS Certification. This is an 8 hour course spanning 1 FULL DAY, which incorporates lecture, AHA DVD instruction and lots of hands on practice with high quality CPR, defibrillators, and airway adjuncts for the pediatric patient population. For those just needing recertification, day one is all that is necessary to attend.

Prerequisites:
  1. Completion of the AHA PALS Pretest/DVD
  2. Familiarity with resuscitation equipment
  3. Knowledge in ECG interpretation
  4. AHA Textbook of Pediatric Advanced Support - You can purchase this manual at ShopCPR.org
This class will require the completion of the Final Digital Exam. You will find a link to this exam in your confirmation email however you will not need to complete the exam until after class.
